Ingredients:

  • 8 large button mushrooms  (chestnut mushrooms)
  • 6 oz / 180g semi-hard cheese, grated (e.g., cheddar)
  • 1 white onion
  • 3.5 oz / 100g bacon slices
  • Heavy cream
  • Mayonnaise
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Vegetable oil

How to make Stuffed Mushroom:

  1. Clean 8 large mushrooms and remove the stems.
  2. Chop the stems and sauté in a pan with oil for 3 minutes.
  3. Add chopped onion, salt, pepper, and a splash of cream. Stir well.
  4. Place mushroom caps on a lined baking sheet/tray. Season with salt and oil.
  5. Fill mushrooms with a mix of grated cheese, mayonnaise, minced garlic, and the sautéed mixture.
  6. Top each mushroom with two bacon slices.
  7. Bake at 400°F / 200°C for 15 minutes.
