The milk slice is perhaps one of the most popular snacks ever. Children love it, but let’s face it… even adults still put it among their favorites! A tasteful, mouth-watering, and enveloping snack where the bitterness of cocoa meets the sweetness of whipped cream. Am I right? Well friends, if you ended up on this page then we all agree! Ingredients:

  • 3 eggs
  • 105 g (1/2 cup) sugar
  • 95 g (1/3 cup) plain yogurt
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) sunflower oil
  • 40 g (1/3 cup) cornstarch (cornflour)
  • 115 g (1 cup) all-purpose flour (plain flour)
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 15 g (1 tablespoon) baking powder
  • 25 g (1/4 cup) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 250 g (1 cup) heavy cream (double cream), for whipping
  • 100 g (1/3 cup) sweetened condensed milk

How to prepare Best Homemade Milk slice:

  1. First whip the sweetened cream, well chilled. Once whipped, add the condensed milk and mix with a spatula from the bottom up.
  2. Next, whip the eggs in a planetary mixer. Then add the sugar and whisk well.
    Then add the yogurt, oil, honey and finally the vanilla flavor. Whisk again for a few minutes.
  3. Add the previously sifted powders. Whisk again in the planetary mixer until the mixture is frothy, thick and well whipped.
    Transfer the mixture to a baking pan, previously covered with baking paper. Bake in a static oven at 180ºC (340°F) for about 20 minutes. Once baked, remove the cookie from the baking sheet and allow to cool completely.
  4. Once cooled, cut in half to form two even layers.Compose the milk slice by laying the previously whipped cream on the first layer of cookie.Cover the cream with the second cookie. Tightly adhere and store in the freezer for at least two hours.
  5. Once completely frozen, portion the milk slice cookies with the help of a knife and wait a few minutes before its consumption.
