One Greek salad a day, keeps the doctor away! For me, Greek farmer’s salad or choriatiki is simply part of every good meal. For me personally, the motto is: the bigger the better!
With less than 10 ingredients, this classic is super easy and just as quick to prepare. Nevertheless, the authentic taste quickly becomes distorted if you vary the individual ingredients. That’s why we’ve listed all the ingredients for your authentic Greek salad here.

One more thing that is important to make your farmer’s salad really tasty: don’t put your vegetables in the fridge. They will only lose their flavor there.

Ingredients:

  • 1 head of Romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup (240 ml) black olives, pitted
  • 1 cup (240 ml) feta cheese, crumbled
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
