Grilled Pineapple with Honey and Cinnamon

Grilled Pineapple with Honey and Cinnamon…

Baked apples stuffed with macaroons, chocolate pears with vanilla sauce, and bananas flambéed in rum-these are just a few of the fine ways to serve fruit as dessert at the end of a meal in a mouth-watering guise that still retains all the authenticity of seasonal fruits. Alongside these traditional recipes, we offer an exotic and aromatic idea: grilled pineapple with honey and cinnamon. With its sweet juice and freshness, pineapple is already great to enjoy on its own, but with our recipe you will discover a new way to enjoy it: warm, spicy and pleasantly honey-like.

Ingredients :

  • 1 pineapple
  • 4 teaspoons mixed flower honey
  • Ground cinnamon, to taste
  • 4 teaspoons brown sugar
  • Fresh mint, to taste
  • Melted butter, as needed

How to Prepare Grilled Pineapple with Honey and Cinnamon:

  1. To make the grilled pineapple with honey and cinnamon first clean the pineapple: cut off the top cap, then with a special pineapple remover take out the central core and remove the peel with a knife.
  2. Slice the pineapple so that you obtain about slices 2 cm thick. Brush one side of the pineapple slices with melted butter.
  3. Heat a griddle and when it is hot, lay the pineapple slices with the buttered side facing down. Let them brown for a couple of minutes and in the meantime brush the side facing up with melted butter as well.
  4. When the pineapple slices are well grilled, flip to the other side and continue cooking for about 2 minutes more. Once the pineapple slices are well browned on both sides 10, lay them on a small serving plate and flavor them with the honey and brown sugar.
  5. Scent with the mint leaves and cinnamon powder. Serve your grilled pineapple slices with honey and cinnamon immediately.
