How to find cockroach nests?
If you have seen a cockroach in your house, you need to make sure that there are no cockroach nests in your house, for this you need to follow the tips below:
- Check your house at night, especially since cockroaches tend to forage for food and water at night.
- Look in places that can be a haven, these are the ones that provide darkness, warmth and moisture. You can look for vents, stoves, ovens, microwaves, drawers, pipes, cracks, storage sheds, garages, basements, washing machines or under the refrigerator.
- You can notice it by finding exoskeletons, eggs or feces. The eggs are very easy to identify because they look like a more or less rigid capsule between 8 and 10 millimeters long and dark brown.
Removing cockroach nests from your home
If you have found a cockroach nest, it is best not to step on them, and insecticides can harm you and your family, plus cockroaches can be resistant to them. You can remove them with the following home remedy:
- Use fresh baking soda and sugar in a small container, such as on lids of milk or water containers.
- Make sure you give equal parts of baking soda and sugar and mix them perfectly.
- Place the baits in the corners where cockroaches can be.
