Oat Frozen Tiramisu : Dessert Heaven in Every Bite…
I barely had time to bring it to the table before everyone rushed to eat it this morning!

This oat frozen tiramisu will win you over – just one spoonful will instantly awaken your sweet tooth. This tiramisu is made with oats, bananas, creamy spreadable cheese, and yogurt, offering several benefits, especially when compared to traditional versions.

This type of tiramisu provides a balanced combination of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. Thanks to the presence of fiber and protein, it’s more satiating and satisfying. Using bananas for sweetening avoids the addition of refined sugars, making the dessert healthier.

It’s important to pay attention to portions, as even though the ingredients are healthier, tiramisu remains a dessert. When prepared with fresh and natural ingredients, this type of tiramisu can be a delicious and nutritious variation of the traditional recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 5.3 oz (150g) rolled oats
  • 3 frozen bananas
  • 7 oz (200g) Greek yogurt
  • 3.5 oz (100g) protein or light cream cheese spread (or mascarpone if preferred)
  • 2 tbsp (30ml) light whipping cream (50% less fat)
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) boiling water
  • 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder + extra for dusting
  • 1 tsp instant coffee

How to make Oat Frozen Tiramisu:

  1. Start by placing the rolled oats in a blender, grind them finely into flour, and transfer to a large bowl.
  2. Put the instant coffee in a cup, pour 120ml of boiling water, stir to dissolve, and add to the oat flour.
  3. Now add the Greek yogurt and 1 tsp of unsweetened cocoa powder. Mix with a spatula to obtain a soft, thick mixture and set aside for a moment.
  4. Peel the frozen bananas, slice them, transfer to a blender, and mix to obtain a smooth, creamy puree.
  5. Incorporate the banana puree into the oat mixture, then stir to achieve a uniform consistency. Transfer to a large ceramic bowl and set aside.
  6. Put the cream cheese spread in a tall-sided container, add the whipped cream, and beat with an electric whisk to create a cream.
  7. Finally, spread the cheese cream on the surface of the mixture, level with a spatula, and refrigerate for 2 hours to set.
  8. Before serving, dust with cocoa powder.
