Ingredients:
- 8 large button mushrooms (chestnut mushrooms)
- 6 oz / 180g semi-hard cheese, grated (e.g., cheddar)
- 1 white onion
- 3.5 oz / 100g bacon slices
- Heavy cream
- Mayonnaise
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Vegetable oil
How to make Stuffed Mushroom:
- Clean 8 large mushrooms and remove the stems.
- Chop the stems and sauté in a pan with oil for 3 minutes.
- Add chopped onion, salt, pepper, and a splash of cream. Stir well.
- Place mushroom caps on a lined baking sheet/tray. Season with salt and oil.
- Fill mushrooms with a mix of grated cheese, mayonnaise, minced garlic, and the sautéed mixture.
- Top each mushroom with two bacon slices.
- Bake at 400°F / 200°C for 15 minutes.
